Hi. My name is Harlan Kilstein.

My background is as a marketing consultant. Some people call me a marketing guru.

I started doing yoga in the Spring of 2006.

Physically, I was in bad shape.

I had very poor flexibility. I like to say that no only couldn't I touch
my toes, we weren't even in the same zip code.

But now things are different.

Very different.

As of today, I've dropped 43 pounds after getting serious about yoga.

I do power vinyasa six days a week.

Yes, I'm hooked.

But as I worked with Sara, I began to ask her questions about her business.

I was shocked to discover most yoga teachers aren't doing very well financially.

I've always believed if you do what you love, the money will follow.

Since I benefited so much from Sara's teachings, I began to share my marketing suggestions with her.

In short, using a few of my marketing strategies Sara has doubled her yoga business.

Just this week, she's been flooded with so many clients I warned her not to give away my time slot!

So Sara and I have teamed up to help you grow your yoga business.

May I close with one of my favorite stories?

I want to close by telling you a story about one of the greatest figures in history - Winston Churchill.

It was 1941 and Churchill gave a graduation speech at the Harra School in England in the middle of a war. No one expected him to come. No one thought that the Prime Minister would show up and speak.

When Churchill was introduced, he was introduced as almost the savior of mankind and the people roared when he came in, and he gave probably the shortest commencement speech in history.

Hi everyone,

My name is Sara Varona and I'm a certified yoga teacher.

I met Harlan last year and boy was he a tough client.

His mind goes a million miles a minute and it was almost impossible
to get him to focus on yoga.

There are hundreds of books on marketing in his office.

At every opportunity, he would jump off the mat, pull out a book and look something up.

So I positioned him so he couldn't see his books!

But there was another problem. His other wall was filled with marketing videos.

One day I told him either he starts paying attention or I cover his walls with sheets during practice.

He started paying attention. :-)

Over time, he got very serious about his practice of yoga. And I began to recognize, Harlan was a master of marketing.

Slowly I began to follow his advice. At first, the things he said sounded radical. But as I listened to his reasoning, I began to try them.

Wow! His strategies work. Not only for me but for other yoga teachers who have tried them.

Harlan wants to give something back to the yoga community and so he's asked me to team up with him on this site.
