Default How I make money

I do have a RYS where I certify people to teach. However, I make most of my money in my private sessions.

I will share what I do.

I have plastic basins (basically storage bins) that I put each clients name on. When they come to me, it is filled with warm water, epsom salt, and some oil. They soak their feet and I offer them tea. We relax and chat and I get a feel for what they need for that given day. I also offer them a hot washcloth for their hands.

After that we do our yoga session. I always conclude the session with at least 15 minutes of deep relaxation. My clients keep coming back. Bad economy or not, I believe they need me, and I need them.

Jane

Hi Jane.

What a great idea. Sara are you listening?

Seriously, these are times when people really need their yoga.

One of our neighbors is a trader who just had a heart attack. His family eats right and does most of their shopping at Whole Foods but...

He doesn't get any exercise.

But his family hasn't turned to yoga as a solution...yet.

This shows the opportunity to team up with physicians to spread the word.

I'll share something on this soon.

Peace.

Default How Long

Jane, how long are your sessions?

If you give them a foot bath, tea and a 15 minute savasana, I am wondering how much time is left for 'active' yoga.

Marleen, there you go killing a great idea.

I'll be in SF this week doing Chakra Vinyasa with Shiva Rea.

That's the end of my yoga teacher training.

Isn't that a scary thought?

Can you get away for dinner?

Peace

Harlan

I am not a clock watcher! I give people my time and they pay me well for it. I feel good when I give someone an amazing session. Sometimes I think I get more joy than they get. My clients sometimes will even tip me extra money, bring me gift certificates and little presents. Oh I also do a welcome book like I learned from you guys and the Paddi Website. I didn't buy is packet, I used my own creativity and figured it out on my own, and it is definitly an extra touch. I also just started selling Univera. NOt sure if you guys heard of Univera, but the products are amazing. I started just as a customer, but now I've gone into selling it because I was referring everyone to Univera, and not making a comission off of it. There set up is a little avon like, but if your in the health industry it makes sense, it's an easy sell, and the products are guaranteed and amazing. I also have 7 CD's that I sell and give as presents to clients. I too, like you Harlan or at least you were I don't know if you still do, am a Hypnotist.

Harlan please review my website. I love your guys work it has really helped me blossom as a yoga teacher.

Well off this weekend back to Orlando to teach a weekend module of my 200 hour yoga teacher training.

Love! Sorry for any mispellings!

Hi, and thanks for your message.

One of the things we have resisted is recommending yoga teachers sell supplements or network marketing opportunities to their clients.

If it works for you - fine and may it continue to work for you.

I can tell you - as a client. I wouldn't want to hear about it.

My wife has a yoga teacher who sold her some supplements. Mostly green drink stuff.

I believe more or less they are all the same - no don't throw things at me.

And I don't like paying 5 times the price when I can get the same thing in Whole Foods or online.

But the Welcome Book idea is great. That's why Sara does it.

Peace.

Harlan

Thanks Harlan,

I appreciate your honesty, and I absolutely agree with what you are referring to. The thing is they can't get it at whole foods or any store and they don't pay a dime more by going through me, they actually get a discount and I get commission, I pay the same amount that they pay and don't get a commission on my own purchases. I am not into the "Avon" style of selling and pyramid scheming stuff myself and at first this really seems a lot like that.
However, I just started as a consumer and the company guaranteed I would eventually (about 90 or so days in) feel a change in my performance, my mental clarity and focus, and my joint comfort and flexibility or my money back. I thought that was a pretty big promise to make and because I already possess a lot of what they said their products would give me, I was VERY skeptical that I could have more flexibility or joint comfort or mental clarity, however about 2 weeks into it, I did feel a significant change, and I have continued to notice changes and clients and friends have noticed changes in me. So, I let some people try some of my supply and people wanted to buy it, and I figured I should and could get something out of this process. So here I am, enjoying just a little more abundance and a lot more health. Being a Doctor of Physical Therapy Student, (DPT) I know my science really well and am very educated in effective research methods and this company has genomic labs that test all of their products on the DNA level, they even have stuff that is absorbed directly in the body through the cells of the mouth and they offer a tour of their 250,000 sq. ft. lab! No one, but high end pharmaceutical company

YogaJane4,

Wow, I love what you offer your clients! Would you be willing to share what you include in your Welcome Book?
Thanks!
Suzanne
