Help! Please Encourage me!

I am new to yoga and right now I find that I am going to be owning a small yoga studio. this is exciting but scary Our little town has never had a yoga studio (we are 1 hour outside of Nashville) We have had a class offered at the Art Center or the Y. These were not very well attended. Of course it all depends on the setting, the teacher, the advertising.. Our town is growing by 100.000 or more a year so the cliental numbers are there. These people no longer are driving into Nashville to work they are here. I Know in my heart that a yoga studio in this area right now is a good thing. I am just feeling inadequete. My place has room for a small class and two rooms for private classes & to sublet for another wellness business.

My first two things are to write an article for our little local paper & do a survey though different groups (senior citizen, gardening, teacher,etc) this survey will ask question like:

Have you ever been to a yoga class at a yoga studio?

Does class size make a difference in choosing a yoga class/

Are you interested in learning about the benefits of practicing yoga on a regular basis?

What time frame would be most available to you?

Any suggestions on this idea?

First thing I would do would be to get a hold of the October issue of the print newsletter because it was about opening a studio.

Second, I would read ALL of the books on Guerrilla Marketing you can find.

I think you need to spend some serious time reading what we've done on the board so far but...

it sounds to me like you are possibly making a serious error here.

What are the financials involved in opening this studio?

What's the overhead?

What's the breakeven?

Get me some of those numbers and I'll try and help.

Is the October "print Newsletter" the same as the EZine? I am a little confused? Please tell me how to get it and I will start reading the books on
marketing that you suggested. i will get numbers to you as soon as possible. thank you
