Welcome Back And Surprise News Namaste Yogi's Hello everyone. I hope this newsletter finds you all happy, healthy. I have missed connecting with you all on cyber space. We took a short break from sending out the weekly newsletter, due to Harlan and I having many other things occupy our time. However the good news is that we are back and always here for you if you need any business advice or just want to run your ideas by us. For those of us in Florida we are still having extremely high temperatures and dealing with storms coming and going. Thank-God nothing too major yet. Our hearts go out to all of those who endured Hurricane Ike. For others of you in other states, the west coast and Canada, Fall is approaching and the Sunny warm days are becoming less. This is the time of year, schedules get back on track when people's children are back to school and soon your private business and studio numbers will begin to increase. I find that September is a good month to get organized. Clean out old cupboards, get all the unfiled paperwork put away, give away old clothes you now longer wear that have just been taking up space and clear all clutter in sight. I find the more organized my home is the better the rest of my life can run smoothly. My Surprise News! The past four months for me have been ones of intense change and transition emotionally and physically. I have a baby friend growing inside of me and it is due to enter this world on February 11, 2009. I am delighted to share this wonderful news with you all. It will be my first child and I can't wait to meet this little being that is growing inside of me. Being Pregnant so far has been like being on a roller coaster that you can't get off of. I have been quite sick up until two weeks ago with severe 2/4/7 nausea. Then I went on the constant headache ride for a few weeks. Now I am finally feeling more like myself and for the most part hardly sick. I took a little break from my practice and am glad to be back to doing yoga and taking dance classes as well. This is a very special time and I am grateful to now be enjoying the gift of being pregnant. I am thrilled to be feeling good and excited about the changes that will be ahead. Being pregnant has been teaching me the lesson of patience. There are many things I have had to be extremely patient about. For me I am constantly reminded to the flow of yoga in my daily life and continue to reach for harmony and grace in the waves that come. It is a powerful feeling to have life growing inside of you. I think it would be wild if men could experience what we women do with pregnancy and childbirth. I have chosen to have a water birth with a midwife at home. I was born at home as well. Some people give me odd reactions when I tell them this but I think it will be wonderful to be at home, in a familiar surrounding with the people I love. Home births are becoming more popular and I feel very settled about the decision to have my baby at home. For all you other pregnant mother, may you feel good, stay grounded during this time and love the newness of change arising. This weekend is The Global Mala. Make sure to see what is going on in your are where you can get involved and join the yoga community to unite in global consciousness. Blessings and Cheers to all that life brings, Om shanti, Sara What Will You Do After Yoga? This question may disturb you. Have you given any thought to how long you will be teaching yoga? I know teachers like Iyengar and Pattabhi Jois teach into their nineties. But do you see yourself in your sixties, seventies, and eighties teaching yoga? I don't mean to say age is a disqualifier - by no means. But based on the way most yoga teachers run from class to class, can you see yourself doing this twenty years from now? If the answer y is yes, may God bless you to reach your goals. But if the answer is no, I've noticed most yoga teachers are not exactly socking away the cash for a rainy day. So what will you do? I'm curious. Would you be so kind as to share what you have in mind with me? Just be so kind to reply to this email and let me know what you have in mind. Today is my birthday and I will be celebrating another trip around the son. Next week is Rosh Hashana and to all our Jewish subscribers I would like to wish you a good and sweet year. May this upcoming year bring universal peace. Om Shanti Shalommmm,
