Start Using Twitter Today!

If you haven't yet created a Twitter account you're really missing out. Twitter is a free social networking site which I believe has a lot of potential to help you grow your yoga business and... it's fun too!

This service has exploded in growth in the past few months and I don't see it slowing down anytime soon. There are now MILLIONS of users and it's becoming very common.

Harlan has been raving about it and is constantly checking Twitter from his iPhone.

Facebook and the others certainly have their place, but Twitter is more powerful. At first I didn't really "get it" why Harlan was so excited but now I do.

Twitter is easy to use and can be used to help you communicate more effectively with your clients.

It's a great way to network with clients and other yoga teachers as well as to drive visitors to any of your sites, blog posts, etc.

BUT DON'T WAIT...

Create a Twitter account NOW and start 'following' people you want.
Others will eventually follow you in return. Observe how others post
and you'll quickly learn the culture,

It's pretty simple and you should be comfortable with it in a few days. You'll quickly discover the etiquette, and uses for Twitter.

You really need to start today because the sooner you start the sooner your followers list will start growing and more people will see your posts -- which will then virally grow from there.

Then come here http://twitter.com/saravarona

Click the "Follow" link that shows under my photo.

That's it. Every time I post you'll see it in your main "timeline" area.

After you click to "Follow" me come back in a few days and look at the right-hand side of my profile page. Click the blue "Followers" link and you can see all the yoga teachers currently following my posts. Follow some of these other yoga teachers so you can get started.

Twitter is extremely VIRAL. When you make posts (called "tweets") they can be exposed to all the friends (followers) of others. Then they can choose to follow you.

Twitter is going to be the newest way to build your own yoga business.

It's a great way to announce a new class, share something spiritual, or talk about anything on your mind.

You are welcome to follow Harlan on Twitter as well. (You can find him following me).

Remember, Harlan is using Twitter to market his business. You can learn from what he does on Twitter but he doesn't post about yoga.

In fact, this may be one of the most powerful marketing tools ever for yoga teachers -- it just depends how it evolves.
