How Love Showed Up Blessings Yogis Our families are an invaluable part of our lives. We do not choose our families, our souls find our parents and make a match. Our parents and our siblings are a integral part of who we become and what experiences we held within our deep emotional code are carried into the streams of our adult life. Some of us are thankful for the way we were cared for and raised by our parents. Others may still resent the families they were born into and may feel slighted for their childhood and all the ways and reasons it may of not met your expectations. Our expectations are so enormous in our lives. They are like large spiders in an old musty closet that we never kill and they continue to creep up on us with, just when think we cleaned house. NOOOOOO……at times all of our expectations with ourselves, our families and the planet continue to churn inside of us, leading us deeper into a depleting vortex of energy. Expectations is like eating. We love to eat; Some days we eat more and others we desire less or we may completely loose our appetite. Then there are days or events in our lives that immediately lead us to the fridge and an impulse forces us to hide our emotions by consuming total junk. Expectations are a part of how we live as human beings. We have high expectations on money, romance, finances, sex, marriage, children, parents, success, people and on if we think God is punishing us or blessing us. If you are a person in life who is seeking self improvement, personal growth, a willingness to look at all your stuff (it goes way down in your soul) and a appetite for happiness in this moment, expectations may be your Ghost, your Shadow and your best friend. If we can mentally and emotionally disengage from expecting things or ways of being from others, we give the essence of self to experience the richness of the NOW. Of course, even when we tell or minds “It’s all good, I am going to go with the flow and be at peace with what is.” At times that pesky other voice brings us to union with expecting. Without expecting we can invite more love to be Present. There is such a power and magnificence in consciously removing expectations from your mental and emotional body. When expectation is taken away, it is so much easier to be with exactly with what is and what is supposed to be. We dance our of our mental hearts and gracefully kiss inner contentment and a freedom to accept what comes when it does. Sometimes we want to make things so difficult and analyze people or situations till were exhausted. I think the erasing of expectation is a person lifting many heavy weights from their body and allowing the skin to breath. The beauty of this life is thing are in a constant mandala of change. There are high’s and low’s and many sharp turns. Neither on is bad nor good, everyone you meet and every situation that happens to you, is to teach you and guide. The magic of transformation is hidden deep in the flames of all that burns and melts in your lives. Today allow yourself to wake up to all your expectations, and for one day do an experiment and throw them all our your private window. Breathe in this moment, Trust in what is to be and Love all miracles of your life. May you all continue to soar to greater heights as the wind carries you lovingly to uncovered ground. With Love, OM Shanti, Sara Shiva Rea on Marketing Hi. It's Harlan and I've just returned from a magical 10 days with Shiva Rea at Kripalu. I took the first module of her teacher training. Relax, I'm not going to be a yoga teacher. I'm doing this for personal growth. I've come to like Shiva's style of yoga and come to love her special unique personality. There aren't too many men my age doing yoga teacher training and I think Shiva gets a kick out of having a type-A personality transforming in her training. During the training, I said a few words on marketing and then Shiva shared her thoughts. I'm quoting from memory here so I'll say that up front. Shiva said teaching yoga is an exchange of energy. As a yoga teacher you are putting your heart and your energy out into the Universe. Of course, it does a tremendous amount of good out there. When you ask for your fee as a yoga teacher, you are completing the exchange of energy. Without completing this exchange of energy, an imbalance is created. I later spoke about marketing along with Shannon Schneider, the founder of Omtime yoga in Boulder, Colorado. Even though we had never discussed marketing, Shannon got right to the heart of success in a yoga business. It's all mindset. If your mindset is 100% focused on success, you will thrive. On the other hand, if your focus is on expectations of failure or endless worry, you will create that reality for yourself. Ultimately, it is up to you to complete that exchange of energy and grow your own yoga business. Strong Interest in RestoraFlow Teacher Training Florida empties out during the summer leaving miles of beach, quiet restaurants, and a friendliness and warmth that comes along with the non-pressure atmosphere. To all those who inquired, Sara has just announced the dates of a four day summer retreat in Deerfield Beach, Florida. The retreat base is literally on the Atlantic Ocean. I just held my own marketing seminar there this week and everyone loved the hotel and their neighborhood. At the lunch break, people had to decide whether to jump into the pool or the ocean. Tough decision. Get the details here (and don't delay because there is a limit of 20 places) and a bunch of the teachers from Costa Rica are returning for this retreat as well. (What does that tell you...) If you'd like to speak with Sara about whether this retreat is right for you, just reply to this email with your phone number and time zone and Sara will call you to answer your questions. Sara Wants To Talk With You The last time we held a group conference call, people called from all around the world. We discussed a little of everything. This time, I'd like to focus on building referral systems. Referrals are the best types of clients you can get. What does this mean to you? You'll be able to get on the phone with Sara and learn her strategies for building referral systems. There is NO CHARGE FOR THE CALL! Just dial in to the following number on Wednesday, June 4 at 9 PM Eastern time: 507-726-3200 and you will be asked to enter a code which is 66249# Don't miss this call. And you might have a notebook handy. Sara will begin with a few words about the RestoraFlow Retreat. Have a great week! Om Shanti Shalommmm,![]()
